Crown Hill Day 13: Release The Chickens and Call In The Sheep

Because of rain most of yesterday, I went directly to harvesting beans, tomatoes, squash and onions. I forgot to take a photo though.

Enjoy the release of the chickens video below.

I gave Leo, the working farm dog, a treat this morning.

I took the host's friend to a housesitting gig near Lake Chautauqua.

Here come the sheep for dinner.

Crown Hill Day 12: Rain, Weeding, Harvest, etc.

With a 90% chance of rain in the forecast, I looked at radar.😁
Relief from morning watering!🥳🧑‍🌾
I harvested beans until rain started.
And finish weed pulling in the hoop house garden.
I dumped the weeds into the sheep paddock. They curious came over.....
but only one took enough interest to take a taste.
In between rain showers, I harvested tomatoes & onions.

Crown Hill Day 10: New Refrigerator

Host came home with a new refrigerator last night. We unloaded it, took off all doors before taking dinner break and deciding to complete in the morning.*Note that I rarely, if at all post faces of folks on my blog. Missy, the host here, provided permission!

I water every morning first thing even before coffee. Notice the cabbage and onions.
The other farm hand sowed carrot seeds in rows next to the onions
Fridge with doors removed just fit
through this opening after we removed the swinging door.
But opps! The spring mechanism broke as I reinstalled the door.
Fridge with doors! We need to let it sit for several hours to allow coolant to settle in the compressor.
I am taking the other farm hand to airport.
